View the embedded image gallery online at:

As part of Year 8’s topic, ‘Crime Drama’, set 3 have been studying Benjamin Zephaniah’s ‘Teacher’s Dead’. To show their understanding of the plot, characters and major themes of the story, 8.3 recreated their own courtroom to put the main characters (Lionel Ferrier and Ramzi Sanchin) on trial for the murder of their teacher.

The characters in the role play included: Shyanne Woodings and Dylan Nixon as the judges; Summer Shaw and Izzy Boughey as the prosecution and Ethan Cooper and Bonnie Dyer as the defence attorneys.

All pupils in the class participated in the role play and demonstrated a mature attitude throughout.
