Year 7 CCSC Pupils visited Blackpool Tower to participate in the audience of a live broadcast for the BBC! As part of the Computing Curricululm, the BBC have launched the new BBC Micro:Bit Computer which is available to all Year 7 Pupils. This device allows pupils to create their own programs and code their very own computer devices in school. 

The stars of Strictly Come Dancing, Rachel Riley and Anton du Beke, hosted the live broadcast lesson which is available to download and view on the BBC website by clicking here - you may even be able to see us sat on the top balcony! They brought programming to life by relating algorithms and code to the steps in dancing. A dance is just a program - a series of steps that you follow. They then saw how the Micro:Bit can be used to create music, art and even fashion.
