Smoking Saddle was a roaring success with many pupils expressing their delight at partaking in activities they would never dream of doing in their own time. The horse riding was enjoyed by all, and many pupils overcame initial worries about their abilities. By the end of the week, the students had mastered the rising trot and enjoyed a highly competitive gymkhana event. As if that wasn't enough of a thrill for the week, the students also took part in a day provided by BASC (British Association of Conservation and Shooting) in which they had a go at shotgun shooting, air rifle shooting and game preparation and cooking. They also were treated to a gundog handling display.

Miss Locker and Mr Routledge look forward to doing it all again next year!
