Our Year 8 RSE Day was a huge success, with pupils moving around a vibrant carousel of activities designed to develop their skills, awareness, and understanding of key life topics. Students engaged enthusiastically in Heart Start CPR, gaining vital practical knowledge that could one day save a life. The Online Safety and Healthy Relationships sessions encouraged pupils to think critically about the choices they make and how to keep themselves and others safe. Our Buddhism workshop offered a reflective space where pupils explored beliefs, mindfulness, and compassion, while the Diversity Role Models session helped foster empathy, inclusion, and open-mindedness. The Mental Health sessions supported pupils’ wellbeing and gave them practical strategies for managing stress and emotions.
Throughout the day, pupils were exceptionally well behaved, showing maturity, curiosity, and respect for visiting facilitators and each other. The positive atmosphere across the school was genuinely inspiring. Students supported one another, engaged thoughtfully in discussions, and demonstrated a real commitment to their learning and personal growth. It was a day that reflected the best of our school community.
