STEM at Our School
Welcome to our STEM page, where we celebrate learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM helps students develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork while preparing them for future careers in a fast-changing world.
Science 🔬
Science helps us understand how the world works. Students explore topics such as biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science through experiments and investigations. Science encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and evidence-based reasoning. Through hands-on activities, students learn how scientists test ideas and make discoveries.
Technology 💻
Technology focuses on how digital tools and systems are designed and used to solve real-world problems. Students develop skills in computing, digital literacy, and problem-solving. They learn how technology shapes modern life and how it can be used creatively and responsibly in education and future careers.
Engineering ⚙️
Engineering is about designing and building solutions to practical challenges. Students take part in design projects that involve planning, testing, and improving their ideas. Engineering activities promote teamwork, innovation, and resilience, helping students understand how structures and systems are created.
Mathematics ➗
Mathematics is the foundation of STEM. It develops logical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Students apply maths to real-life situations, learning how it supports science, technology, and engineering. From data analysis to measurements and calculations, maths is essential for understanding the world around us.
STEM Club
We run a STEM Club every Wednesday, led by Mr Farr. The club offers exciting opportunities for students to explore STEM through practical projects, challenges, and experiments in a fun and supportive environment.
Students at CCSC will also have opportunities to represent the school in a variety of STEM competitions, developing teamwork and confidence while showcasing their skills and creativity.
