Our whole-school Sports Day saw the houses go head to head across a full programme of track and field events, and what a finish it turned out to be. After a day of fierce but friendly competition, Bannister held on to be crowned overall champions – but only just, with Elgar staging a spirited comeback to finish a close second, Newton taking third on the back of a strong showing in the athletics, and Shakespeare rounding out the four houses.
The sun was out and the atmosphere was fantastic throughout, with pupils cheering on their teammates and staff hugely impressed by the effort, resilience and team spirit on display in every event. Congratulations to Bannister, and a huge well done to every pupil who took part and gave their all.
