Our work shadowing programme gave students the chance to step beyond the classroom and into the world of work. Year 9 students completed their Work Shadowing Day across a variety of workplaces, exploring real job roles, learning about workplace expectations and reflecting on the qualities that employers look for.
Earlier in the term, Year 8 students took part in their own shadowing experience, with many spending the day alongside parents, carers or relatives in their workplaces. This gave them a unique and personal insight into different careers and industries. Opportunities like these help our students make connections between what they learn at school and the many pathways open to them in the future. Our thanks go to all the families and employers who made these experiences possible.
