October 14th - 18th was the official Biology Week for 2013.

Pupils in years 7, 8 and 9 took part in a competition run by the West Midlands Branch of the Society of Biology. Pupils were required to make academic posters on a variety of topics. The posters will be judged on scientific content, creativity and presentation with prizes and certificates awarded for each category. The topic for years 7 and 8 was food webs, whereas for year 9 the focus was on inherited diseases.

The department  is now looking forward to finding out if  CCSC will have a winner in this regional event.
