On Friday 15th November students and staff at Chesterton Community Sports College took part in fundraising events for the BBC Children In Need 2013 appeal.

At lunchtime a staff and students charity netball tournament was held with teams of players from years 9, 10 and 11, the PE department and all the other staff. This highly competitive and well supported event  saw the 'Allstaff Team' as the ultimate winners.

The spectators gave a small donation to watch the games and £83.24 was raised for Children In Need. This event was organised by Miss Griffiths, Miss Beech and Miss Locker.

As well as the charity netball event, Mr P Young organised sales of Pudsey Bear badges and this raised another £90.

With a few more donations still to come in it is likely that the grand total to be donated to Children In Need will be well over £200. Many thanks to all those who contributed.
