In year 11 students are placed in appropriate maths sets to enable them to achieve their target GCSE grades.

The grade C focus sets with Mrs Jackson and Mrs Tilt have been working on revision of area and volume topics. Students know this is a unit where learning the key formulas is essential for success in the exams. Lessons have focused on applying the formulas to solve problems and gaining good marks by presenting full working out and using the correct units for answers. The students have really taken these points on board and produced some very good quality work.

Students also have the opportunity to attend booster classes after school on thursdays to help them with exam preparation.
