The publication of the Department for Education School League Tables last week, confirmed CCSC as the top achieving school in this area.
In 2014 Chesterton Community Sports College had 71% of Year 11 gain five or more GCSEs at grades A* - C including English and Maths. This is the highest exam performance of any local school and is in fact the fifth highest of all the state schools in Staffordshire.
The school has an outstanding 'value added measure' of 1032.7 which means that students at CCSC make excellent progress and do significantly better than their ability on entry to the school suggests.
Mrs L Jackson, Executive Headteacher, said: "We are delighted that CCSC has been recognised as the best school in the area and this is an important consideration for parents and carers choosing a school."
Congratulations are due to the Class of 2014 at CCSC.
