Sixty pupils and staff enjoyed the Going Places activity as part of Creative Learning Week. The aim of the week was to explore the history of transport and examine the various ways in which we travel; in life, business and leisure. Monday saw us arrive at Coventry Transport Museum where pupils experienced what it felt like to travel in the fastest car on earth! Aeroplanes were the focus on Tuesday as we enjoyed a tour around RAF Cosford and we took part in several activities which tested our potential ability as pilots. Llangollen Steam Railway was the destination on Wednesday as we enjoyed a leisurely jaunt through the Welsh countryside. The Maritime Museum and open top bus tour of Liverpool were very much enjoyed on Thursday and on Friday we took a closer look at how these modes of transport are fuelled, by venturing down a mine at Apedale Heritage Centre. Pupils and staff really enjoyed the week and learnt a great deal about the development of different types of transport.
