Chesterton Community Sports College has excellent GCSE results again this year with 71% of year 11 achieving 5 or more grades A* - C including English and Maths. (Some results are still under appeal so this figure could rise.)
The 2014 results mean the school has achieved over 70% 5 or more A* - C with English and Maths for the last three consecutive years; a measure which Ofsted take to indicate an outstanding school.
CCSC continues to be one of the highest performing schools in the local area and our success featured in The Sentinel newspaper on Thursday 21st August.
All groups within the school including SEN students and Able and Talented students have made extremely good progress.
Both the English and Maths departments continue to perform consistently very strongly as they have done over the last eight years. Results in Languages, Science and Technology are outstanding this year.
Mrs L Jackson, Executive Headteacher, said: ‘We are delighted to achieve such outstanding results for the third consecutive year, 70% is a fantastic figure’.
Congratulations to the Class of 2014.
