During British Science Week Mr Dunn and Mr Hobson delivered a series of exciting full school assemblies to local primaries. The theme for this year was ‘Changes’; the assemblies showed how change is all around us both slow (rocks and fossils) and quickly (cooking). Within the assemblies there was a range of spectacular chemical reaction demonstrations with colours, shapes, smell, flashes and explosive materials.
Pupils from Year 1 and 2 at St Chads also took part in workshops looking at mixtures and chemistry of colour through forensic Chromatography.
Feedback from pupils and staff was fantastic and helped kick start science week with a bang!
