On Monday 26th September the Fairtrade Group received a visit from Andy Ashcroft of KoolSkools Ethical Clothing Company and the Managing Director of his Fairtrade factory in Mauritius, Mr Vishwaraj Maghoo. https://ccsc.staffs.sch.uk/index.php/fairtrade-news/391-fairtrade-farmers-at-ccsc#sigProIdc06899c189
The group discussed the Fairtrade events that we have held in school and they listened to Mr Maghoo’s personal experiences of working in a cotton factory with poor working conditions and the difference that Fairtrade makes to his life now.
Our visitors then delivered an assembly to Year 7 pupils who really enjoyed learning about what difference they can make to people and communities around the world if they buy Fairtrade products.
