Friday 13th February saw the annual Newcastle Schools Swimming Gala at The Kings School. Eight schools in total took part in the gala in which the girls competition ran in the morning and the boys competition during the afternoon. Chesterton took a team of 14 girls and 12 boys to compete.

This year saw some tough competition with several swimmers competing also representing Great Britain later on this year. The girls swam extremely well and finished in overall 4th position. The boys finished in overall 2nd position which is a fantastic achievement. Well done to all those that participated in the gala. Training starts now for next year!
