As part of their 'Plays in Performance' topic, Year 7 have been looking at 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare. During this topic they have been analysing Shakespeare's language, interpreting the play in different ways and performing extracts to the rest of the class.

For this lesson pupils were asked to perform part of Act 1 Scene 1 of the play in small groups.

Each group interpreted the extract in different ways and were asked to focus on stage directions to show emotions through actions as well as words.
